about the brand

Run Series are an award-winning event management company creating memorable experiences that bring communities and businesses together. Run Reigate was established in 2012. Since then they have launched two other mass participation events, Run Gatwick and Ride Reigate, along with a suite of smaller events such as Trail and Canicross Races. They are focused on expanding their event portfolio, with plans to introduce Swim and Triathlon events as well as replicating their flagship events.

THE CHALLENGE

Runs Series contacted MV Create, based on a recommendation, when they were looking to refresh their logo and branding identity, create a new website, increase their number of event participants, and grow their business financially. They didn’t have a brand strategy and their visuals (logo, colours, website) were in need of updating to more closely match the company's core values and to attract their ideal clients. They also wanted some 'mini' bespoke branding guidelines that they could use for reference in the future and share with any event partners and sponsors - thus helping to maintain the integrity and consistency of their brand.


In addition, Run Series were managing several websites (one for each event) which was proving costly and time-consuming. They wanted to amalgamate all of this information by creating one new website that would include all of their event details.

BRAND STRATEGY

MV Create focused on identifying and defining Run Series' goals and audience in order to create a brand that appeals to the target consumer and stands out from their competitors. We worked to develop their mission, vision, story and core values, as well as their audience.


We defined the 'character' of the brand, along with its personality, tone of voice and style.

BRAND IDENTITY

MV Create created the rebranding for every component of Run Series. Their darker toned logo design needed a new, fresher and brighter feel, while sticking to the typefaces of the existing logo. This fresher look needed to feel like it reflected their business characteristics, brand vision, and friendly voice. New colours communicating fun, positivity, community and trust were required to replace the cold, dull former palette.


MV Create selected specific tones that complemented oneanother from an image that Run Series felt embodied the vibe and energy of their brand culture. We selected colours based on their pyschological effect and how harmonious they were together.


After brand characteristics were defined, MV Create worked on the new logo. It was important to keep Run Series' logo design simple and recognisable to customers who were already familiar with the original logo. We improved the design, making it cleaner and brighter and more professional using the brand strategy we had developed.

BRAND MARKETING

Once MV Create had finalised the brand strategy and visual identity, we applied the updated Run Series  typography, style and colour palette, to the design of a new professional website.


This new bespoke website was fully optimised for desktop, tablet and mobile. It featured details of each event in one place, along with the brand's story and core values.


The branding was then carried through to all aspects of the company's social media.
